Description
This easy 4 Ingredient Strawberry Dump Cake is a quick, comforting dessert perfect for busy days, made with fresh strawberries, cake mix, and buttery crust.
Ingredients
3 cups fresh strawberries, chopped or sliced
42 ounces strawberry pie filling
15.25 ounces butter cake mix
¾ cup salted butter, cold
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with baking spray.
Scoop the cans of strawberry pie filling into the bottom of the baking dish and use a rubber spatula to spread it evenly on top of the strawberries.
Sprinkle on the butter golden cake mix as evenly as possible on top of the pie filling. If necessary, use a spatula to spread it out into an even layer.
Cut the cold butter into thin, even squares. Place the thin slices of butter evenly across the top of the cake mix.
Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown on top and the strawberry filling is bubbling.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
Serve warm topped with a dollop of Cool Whip or a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Notes
If you are worried about dry spots, you can always melt the butter and pour it over the dry cake mix before baking for extra moisture.
